Directions to Blue Diamond Hill Gypsum Mine
Coming from Interstate 15
-Take Exit 33 Blue Diamond Road/ Highway 160 – WEST
-Go West 10.5 Miles and make a Right turn onto Highway 159. If you are in the right hand lane when you get out there -- that lane will make you turn right on Highway 159 so you will not miss it!!
-Take Highway 159 for 4 Miles – (NO More No Less)
At the 4 mile mark there will be a turn off on your right hand side to go up the dirt road to the mine. There is a sign at the entrance that reads:
BLUE DIAMOND HILL GYPSUM
NOTES:
AT 2 MILES --- DO NOT TURN INTO CERTAINTEED GYPSUM – CONTINUE ON FOR 2 MORE MILES AND LOOK FOR THE TURN OFF TO THE DIRT ROAD ON YOUR RIGHT HAND SIDE!!!!!
Do not turn LEFT into the Town of Blue Diamond – continue for another 1 mile from there to the turn out on the Right hand side.
-Follow the dirt road up the hill for 3 miles – following the signs on the road. It will take you straight to the Pit and the Scale House where you will dirve onto the Scale and weigh in and receive further instructions from there.
